A poll by the National Statistical Institute on the effect of the state of emergency on economy shows that in March 53.5% of Bulgarian enterprises marked a decline in sales revenues. 36.3% report no change and 9.5% report rise of revenue.
In the spheres of culture, sports, entertainment, repair of household items, the number of affected enterprises reaches 70.6%. In industry, this percentage is 52.9%; in construction - 51.2%, and in the trade, transport and restaurant business - 56.3%. A total of 80.6% of polled non-financial enterprises forecast that they would continue their activity; 15.4% say that they would temporarily stop, and 2% answered that they would discontinue their activity.
