There are still Bulgarians who want to return to their homeland, Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva said. Most of them live permanently abroad and because of the crisis have lost their jobs or they would like to return home because they feel more secure in Bulgaria, she explained.

We are constantly supporting Bulgarian citizens abroad and organize "green corridors" for their return,  Zaharieva said
Yet, Minister Zaharieva has once again called on Bulgarian citizens not to travel abroad, or only do it as a last resort. This also applies to seasonal workers who go to work abroad. Zaharieva has urged them to stay home because there is a need for seasonal workers in Bulgaria, as well.
