Ban on entry into Bulgaria from Turkey to be lifted at midnight

At midnight, the temporary ban on entry into the territory of Bulgaria of persons and road vehicles through the border points with Turkey will be lifted. The ban was imposed on April 24, the first day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The measure aimed at preventing the movement of buses and private cars from Turkey to Bulgaria at the beginning of the holidays.

By midnight today, exceptions apply to heavy goods vehicles, special-purpose vehicles, vehicles carrying people in need of treatment, and vehicles carrying out humanitarian missions.

Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva has warned that even after the ban was lifted, citizens traveling between Bulgaria and Turkey
