Bulgaria to subsidize 2,000 places for Bulgarian students coming from abroad

The Council of Ministers has approved the number of students and doctoral students admitted to study in the higher schools and scientific organizations of Bulgaria in the academic year 2020-2021.

The state will subsidize the education of 38,390 students from Bulgaria, of 2,000 Bulgarians from abroad, as well as subsidize 150 places in state universities for citizens of North Macedonia. The decision in line with proposals of organizations of Bulgarian communities abroad and Bulgarian diplomatic missions, as well as with the wishes of applicants, polled during the information campaigns in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Moldova, Ukraine, Serbia, Cyprus and Spain.
