At the end of March, the budget had a surplus of 700,000 euros. The crisis will still affect the treasury, the government said after checking the execution of the state budget in early 2020.

The negative effects of the pandemic are still expected, such as the extension of the terms for corporate income taxation and the reduction of trade turnover. It is expected that the parameters of budget implementation will appear more clear in the second and third quarters of the year.

In order to support investments, we do not envisage limiting the payments on large infrastructure projects, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said.
