State security guard charged with leading organized crime group

An acting long-term employee of the National Service for Protection was charged with leading an organized crime group involved in the murder of business lady Stanka Marangozova in October 2019 in Sofia. The man was detained together with two other persons. The person who ordered the murder left Bulgaria in March and is wanted with a European Arrest Warrant and Interpol Red Notice. The state security guard has a rank of lieutenant-colonel and worked in the logistics field.
