On the eve of the brightest Bulgarian holiday – May 24, the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and of the Slavic Letters, we offer you to listen together to a short but very special song - "Bulgarian Alphabet Song". It is part of the project for studying the Bulgarian alphabet at the Young Bulgarian Voices School based in New York City.
The author of the music and lyrics is the New York-based Bulgarian singer and musician Vlada Tomova, and the idea for the project was given by Meglena Zapreva, teacher at the Bulgarian school there.
The performance is by children from the Bulgarian school in the American metropolis, which over the years has managed to cross the borders of the Bulgarian community there and attract to its cultural life people of different nationalities, yet all of them united by their love of and interest in Bulgarian music, language and traditions.
