Known as one of the centres of Bulgarian artistic crafts, the village of Oreshak close to Troyan, Northern Bulgaria, opens today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. an exhibition-bazaar entitled Troyan Masters. The event will take place in the park of the National Exhibition of Arts and Crafts in the village. Local craftsmen in pottery and woodcarving will present their skills.

In recent years, Oreshak has become an increasingly desirable destination for rural and eco-tourism. Among its landmarks is the Troyan Monastery of the Assumption of the Theotokos, which was founded around 1600 and is the third largest monastery in Bulgaria.
