Bulgaria’s cabinet has assigned the Bulgarian Posts EAD the task to distribute periodicals throughout the country for a period of 10 years. The measure is aimed at promoting press pluralism and freedom of speech.
On March 1, 2020, by decision of the government the Bulgarian Posts became the only national distributor of periodicals. The company will receive financial support from the state for this activity.
