Air Force major runs 120 kms. to commemorate Hristo Botev

Major Ilyia Kutsarov from the Air Force command ran a distance of 120 kms. to mark Hristo Botev day.

He started out at 8.20 PM on 1 June from the bank of the Danube near Kozloduy, and finished at 9 AM on 2 June in front of the monument to Hristo Botev on Okolchitsa peak in the Balkan range. Kutsarov ran, Bulgarian flag in hand, along the route of Hristo Botev and his company, who started out from the bank of the Danube in 1876 to fight for the liberation of Bulagria from Ottoman domination.
