The greatest wealth of the small town of Strelcha situated in Bulgaria’s Sredna Gora mountain lies in its healing water. In the mountainous land, generously endowed with mineral springs, the Thracians were the first to leave a lasting trace. Their sanctuary from antiquity entitled “The Frog’s Mound” can be seen there to this day - among many other landmarks. Also interesting are the picturesque rocks with bizarre shapes, the medieval fortress "Strelchansko Kale", as well as the local history museum.
In addition to the public baths in the centre of Strelcha, in its vicinity one can visit the Bancheto spring famous for its healing properties. How are the hot springs near Strelcha beneficial for treatment of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory problems and other ailments? You can learn more in the publication "Strelcha - a resort with healing mineral waters, heroic history and scent of roses" from the collection of Radio Bulgaria.
