An initiative to create Alley of Jazz has been discussed in Bansko. The idea comes from the director of the international jazz festival in the town, Dr. Emil Iliev. It was presented at a working meeting in the mountain resort, with the participation of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture and Media, Vezhdi Rashidov.
The project envisages busts of the great names of Bulgarian jazz, who are part of the creation and history of the festival, erected around the central square in Bansko, where the large-scale event takes place. The first three sculptures will be of renowned musicians Milcho Leviev, Simeon Shterev and Vili Kazasyan.
Vezhdi Rashidov supports the idea for Jazz Alley in Bansko and will be part of the team behind its implementation.
