Covid-19 has not delayed Belene NPP project

Despite the Covid-19 crisis, the procedure for construction of Belene nuclear power plant has not stopped even for a moment, Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said in Parliament. All five companies from Russia, China, South Korea, the USA and France have confirmed their intentions to submit binding offers and participate at the procedure for selection of a strategic investor. The next step is to allow candidates to the so-called data room, where the whole information of the technical project is kept, Minister Petkova said.
