Speaking to the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, Minister Sacheva quoted the latest forecast in an update of the state budget that GDP was expected to fall by 3% in 2020. The average year-on-year decline in employment is estimated at 2.1%. According to the Employment Agency, as of June 25, 2020, the registered unemployed were over 277,000 people. On the same date in 2019, there were 170,000 unemployed. As of June 24, “Measure 60/40” saved 155,371 jobs, which cost the state budget over 58.6 million euros.
