The theatrical season in Bulgaria continues in July as well. Bulgaria’s artists will be again on the stage, although they will perform in front of less audience in the theater halls, in order to meet the requirements for physical distancing amidst Covid-19. Spectators had the opportunity to revalidate their tickets for theater performances that were cancelled during the state of emergency declared in this country in March and April. There is plenty of alternative space for theatrical performances as well.
The Ivan Vazov National Theater has built an open stage in the City Garden of Sofia and the performances are attracting huge audience.
Vidin Drama Theatre chose to make summer tours and is to hold free of charge theatre performances to the village residents in the Vidin region. The initiative belongs to the community centers of Vidin Municipality located in Northwestern Bulgaria.
The theatrical company of Nikolay Binev Youth Theatre will also meet its audience in a new place. One of the most successful child performances- “Pinocchio”, as well as the awesome comedy “Divide Couples at Home” will be presented on stage of Platform A6.
The summer theatrical performances will take place in the new space for cultural events located in the park behind the National Palace of Culture under strict observance of anti-epidemic measures. In order to ensure the safety of the visitors, the organizers will disinfect the premises with special ozone technology.
