Interior Ministry holds campaign for road safety

Bulgaria's Traffic Police has launched an operation against over-speeding and the use of alcohol and drugs by drivers, the Ministry of Interior reports. The campaign is held throughout the country and will last until July 16, with over 220 mobile and stationary cameras monitoring for high speed. Police officers will be concentrated in Bulgaria'sseaside resorts.

Statistics show a decrease in road accidents caused by driving after drinking alcohol for the first half of this year, compared to the same period in 2019.
