“The Bulgarian Socialist Party will not take over the protest, nor will it take advantage of it,” said BSP MP Georgi Svilenski for the Bulgarian National Radio.

In his words, the BSP supports the anti-government protests because they are just and because statehood must be reinstated.

“Everybody wants there to be no corruption, everybody wants Boyko Borissov out,” Georgi Svilenski said, and added that the BSP strongly calls for the resignation of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev as well. The parliament’s agenda is now being set by the people, he said.
