Owners of casinos and gaming halls from across the country are protesting in Sofia against the amendments to the Gambling Act. They insist that the new texts to the Gambling Act be repealed. In their view, these are lobbying texts and will affect owners of small gaming halls, BNR reports. On the 14th day of the anti-government rally protesters blocked 7 major junctions in Sofia. The blockade on July 22 continued until 11 pm and passed under the motto “”First we block Sofia, then the whole country”. Protesters also threw caps in front of the Palace of Justice downtown Sofia to demand the resignation of this country’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev. Protests were also held in front of the building of the Bulgarian National Television to demand the resignation of its Director General Emil Koshlukov. According to the protesters, this media does not fulfill its public function. Local correspondents of BNR reported about protests in Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo and Burgas.
