Confrontation between protesters and other citizens escalates

A driver tried to pass through a key junction in Sofia blocked by protesters during last night’s rally, the Sofia Department of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior announced at a briefing. A nineteen-year-old girl was slightly wounded in the accident. Confrontation between protesters who block junctions in rush hours and other citizens has escalated in the recent days, the head of the Security Police Radoslav Stoynev announced. The Bulgarian Police prevented clashes between drivers and protesters. The Sofia Department of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior calls on both sides to show mutual understanding.
