We left the control on how to keep distance and wear face masks on peoples' awareness, Dr. Gergana Nikolova, general practitioner and member of the Managing Board of the Bulgarian Medical Association told Nova TV. In her view, the increased number of Covid-19 cases in the recent weeks is due to the fact that people do not keep physical distance and wear face masks at indoor places. She called on the people to comply with the basic safety rules and added: “One can become infected at many places, but it is least likely to happen when lying on the beach”. In Dr. Gergana Nikolova’s view, the lack of medical staff is the biggest problem in the fight against the novel covonavirus. “Doctors and nurses cannot be replaced by any volunteer”, Dr. Nikolova contends.
