Ex-president Rosen Plevneliev sees two scenarios for the political crisis

There are two ways out of the political crisis in Bulgaria, said in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio's Horizont channel Rosen Plevneliev, president of Bulgaria in the period 2012-2017.

The bad scenario is for Prime Minister Boyko Borissov to resign under the pressure of anti-government protests going on for 17 days now. Then President Rumen Radev will form a puppet government and "they will put up a new Kostinbrod" (an affair preparing an election fraud with the help of fake voting papers).

According to Rosen Plevneliev, the reasonable option is for the head of state to start working as president of all Bulgarians and, together with the protesters, the trade unions, the public factors, to seek a solution for a fairer Bulgaria.
"The big problem is the feeling of injustice, but also the lack of a president," Plevneliev said. According to him, Rumen Radev violates the Constitution by demanding the resignations of the government and the prosecutor general.
