The 21st day of anti-government protests in Sofia started with the blocking of a key intersection in the capital city.

At noon, protesters blocked off tram and car traffic. Even though they were carrying placards saying that the country was closed for remodeling, for which they ask to be excused, tensions between protesters and drivers mounted. After the police intervened the group of protesters moved to the next intersection and declared their aim was to ultimately block traffic in front of the buildings of the presidency and the council of ministers.

A national protest rally has been called in the space between the buildings of the presidency and the council of ministers at 7 PM tonight, to demand the resignations of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev. The protesters say that after the protest they will put up tents in the centre of Sofia.
