Alan Banazsek from the Polish team Mazowsze Serce Polski won the 128-kilometre first stage of the 67th international circling tour of Bulgaria.
This is the first professional win in the career of the 22-year old cyclist. Banazsek won the yellow jersey from Pierre Barbier, France from the team Nippo Delko One Provence after the Sofia-Pazardzhik stage, winning versus Patryk Stosz from the Polish team Voster. Reece Wood, Great Britain, from team Holdsworth-Zappi came third. The winner clocked 2 hours 48 minutes, and an average speed of 45 kilometres per hour.
