The police will harden the tone towards protesters at blockades in Sofia: Commissioner Tony Todorov

Commissioner Tony Todorov

“The police will harden the tone towards the protesters from the two blockades in Sofia – at Eagles’ Bridge and at the presidency building,” said Commissioner Tony Todorov, deputy head of the security police department of the Sofia Metropolitan Directorate of Interior.

He stressed that the blockades are illegal and that the dialogue with the protesters continues for letting traffic through at key locations.

According to information by BNR’s reporters, one participant in the protest and an elderly woman were detained this morning and are being questioned by the police. The woman attempted to pass through the blockade, and after an exchange of words, had water thrown over her.
