Because of the party conference organized by GERB party, today, the 28th day of anti-government protests in Sofia, the “Protest network” organization is organizing a “Mass counter-conference demanding resignations”.

Three key intersections in the capital city remain blocked by protesters, the BNR’s Horizont channel reports.

Before midnight last night protesters put up a tent camp and temporarily blocked traffic towards the main border check point with Turkey Kapitan Andreevo. After negotiations the protesters were surrounded by police and pushed off the road.

A Facebook group “I do not support the protest” is collecting signatures in support of a complaint to the prosecutor’s office for “hooliganism characterized by particular audacity and cynicism” by the protesters, the BNR reports. The complaint refers to the blocking of intersections. The authors of the initiative say they are defending their right to free passage, work and leisure.
