Citizens do not recognize BSP as alternative to GERB

Most citizens see the BSP as part of the status quo, MP Valeri Zhablyanov, who is part of “BSP for Bulgaria” and one of the candidates for leader of the party, has told BNR.

According to him, the BSP is unconvincing and therefore "lags behind GERB politically, even after the visible spectacular failures of this government." According to Zhablyanov, the alternative must offer different solutions.

"It is obvious that so far public opinion has not recognized the BSP as an alternative to GERB," he said, adding that BSP leader Cornelia Ninova "has failed to achieve dialogue with people in the party and especially with the younger generations."
