Ben Cross, notable British actor who had Bulgaria in his heart, dies aged 72

The well-known British actor Ben Cross, who was battling cancer, has passed away in Vienna at the age of 72. 
In Bulgaria, the actor became especially popular in the 1980s with the series "The Citadel". Later, life brought him closer to Bulgaria where his third wife Deyana Boneva is from. Their marriage took place on August 18, 2018 according to an old Bulgarian tradition in the picturesque small town of Zheravna in the Balkan Range. 
The British actor spent the last years of his life in Bulgaria, Nova TV reports. In Bulgaria, Ben Cross played the role of James Bourchier in the production "The Eighth Miracle" of Bulgare folk ensemble. He also wrote lyrics for songs for popular Bulgarian singer Vasil Petrov and sang together with him at the Apollonia Art Festival in 2007.
"Truthful and earthly! A friend and an example! An entire universe! He is one of the people who will live forever," the Bulgare ensemble wrote on its Facebook page.
