The 43rd day of anti-government protests began at 8 a.m. this morning with a march from Eagles' Bridge, which ended with a new "surprise blockade" in front of the Anti-Corruption Commission building.
Protesters demanded a meeting with the commission's chairman, former Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov, to hand him his resignation as chairman of the Commission for Combatting Corruption and Confiscating Illegally Acquired Property.
"Every person who hands in a signal becomes a target and a victim of the mafia," protesters said, preventing employees from entering the building.
