A civil petition calls for a moratorium on the construction activities in a perimeter of 300 meters from the beach in the villages of Sinemorets, Varvara and Rezovo and in the town of Ahtopol, Tsarevo municipality, on the southern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, as well as in the entire territory of the largest nature park in Bulgaria - Strandzha
The ban on construction should be valid until the adoption of a General Development Plan of Tsarevo and a Park Management Plan, the petition reads, which is currently signed by almost 4 thousand people.
"Before our very eyes they take away from us and from our generations the most beautiful corners of the Bulgarian land - they cover in concrete our beloved southern Black Sea coast and cut down the forests of Strandzha Mountain, which are not only beautiful, but also the most ancient preserved forests in Europe," the petition reads. .
