Bulgaria should be part of the big debate in the EU, to participate in the formation of consensus on European policies, not just to join decisions already made and be a recipient of EU funds only. This is what Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said at a video conference meeting with heads of diplomatic missions in Bulgaria, BNR reports.

The lack of financial and human resources results in the withdrawal of Bulgaria from important global and regional processes. The burden also falls on the large Bulgarian communities abroad which do not have a sufficiently active connection with their home country. That is why more staff is needed at Bulgarian diplomatic missions in countries with large Bulgarian communities, President Radev said.
