“A great many of the measures the Ministry of Education is taking before the start of the school year are excessive and unnecessary,” said Assoc. Prof. Atanas Mangarov, head of the pediatric department of the hospital for infectious diseases in Sofia for the BNR. In his words children who are sick should not go to school. “Placing them in isolation rooms makes no sense because they have been in contact with the other children before that,” he said.
