VMRO: Number of parties in paper ballots should be removed

The number of the parties in the paper ballots should be removed, the latest proposal of VMRO submitted between first and second reading of the amendments to this country’s Election Code read, BNR reporters inform. According to this proposal, only the names of the political parties should be written on the paper ballots.

Education in Bulgaria is compulsory until the age of 16. It is illogical for a person who has voting rights and go to school in Bulgaria, to find difficulties reading in Bulgarian, VMRO MP Krasimir Bogdanov commented. VMRO party also insists that village councils are established and village mayors are elected in villages with 200 or more residents. This will provide opportunity for greater representation of the small villages, VMRO contends.
