Bulgaria has been nominated, by the European Commission for the Natura 2000 award. This country has the unique chance of winning because of its many old-grown forests, the Executive Forests Agency has announced.

Bulgaria has been voted in second place and stands every chance of winning. Let us express our support for old-grown forests and demonstrate our responsibility for Bulgaria’s forests and nature, the Agency urges.

Votes can be cast here. The vote is considered valid after confirmation of the email, the BTA reports.
