The Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, is demanding a minimum monthly salary in 2021 of 409 euro, and not 332 euro, as the government is proposing,  Bulgarian Socialist Party MP Nadya Klusurska said in parliament.

“Salaries in Bulgaria are 4 to 6 times lower than in the EU countries, 5 times lower than the EU average, while productivity of labour in Bulgaria is 44% of the European average,” Nadya Klisurska said.

We are half as productive as the average European citizen, and salaries are 4 times lower. This shows that the labour of Bulgarian workers is highly undervalued which dooms the economy to a constant shortage of qualified staff, Nadya Klisurska said, as quoted by the BSP press service.
