The 96th anti-government protest is scheduled to take place in Sofia tonight.

For the 100th night of protests – 16 October – the organizers, the so-called “toxic trio”, have declared the 5th“Grand National Uprising”.

The demands remain unaltered – resignation of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev and the introduction of machine voting.

Another demand was added last night – the resignation of the Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova for her failure to cope with the pressing problems of the capital city, and for the way procurement contracts are handed out.

As usual, the protesters made their way to Eagles’ Bridge, blocking the intersection for over an hour.
