125 years of decent work for people with disabilities

Photo: BGNES

125 years have passed since the establishment of the first worker cooperative (TPK) in Bulgaria. Since its creation, labor cooperatives have contributed both to the development of Bulgarian society and to the building of the main economic structures in post-liberation Bulgaria. In them, thousands of people with disabilities find comprehensive support in the social, cultural, sports, intellectual and creative spheres.

The anniversary of the establishment of TPK is celebrated with festivals in 8 Bulgarian cities, with an emphasis on the opportunities of people with disabilities to be fully integrated into society. The final event is on October 13, 2020, in Bankya.

There the guests can get acquainted with the photo exhibition "125 years of TPK", tracing the activities of cooperatives, their development and participation in the socio-economic life of the country, as well as presenting them as bearers of the most progressive socially-oriented model of work in the present.
