"Together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, we support the countries of the Western Balkans on their path to the EU." This was written on the Facebook page of Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on the second day of the regular meeting of the European Council in Brussels.

At the meeting between Merkel and Borissov, the Prime Minister pointed out that Bulgaria would continue to work actively in this direction during the joint Presidency of the Berlin Process held by Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

At a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Borissov pointed out the need for coordinated action within the EU in the fight against the pandemic, without depriving member states of the opportunity to make independent decisions
