Irish MEP Clare Daly arrived in Pomorie for a meeting between Irish owners of apartments and representatives of various institutions at the Sunset Resort apartment complex.
The reason for the visit was a scandal related to the refusal of the Irish, who owns an apartment in the complex to pay a maintenance fee for common areas in the amount of 15 euros per square meter. As a sanction, electricity and water were cut off. The problem has existed for years. There are 350 Irish people who own apartments in the complex, our correspondent in Burgas Daniela Kostadinova reported.
The EP resolution on Bulgaria also quoted the attitude towards Irish private owners in the complex as a problem when it comes to the rule of law in Bulgaria.
