Minimum pension rises to 153 euros at beginning of 2021

Pensions will rise by 5% under the so called Swiss rule on July 1. On January 1, the minimum pension rises from 128 euros to 153 euros a month, and the maximum reaches 736 euros, instead of the current 614 euros. This is provided by the draft budget of the State Social Security for next year, the Bulgarian National Radio reported.

In the first three months of 2021, retirees will continue to receive additional 25 euros a month due to the pandemic.

In 2021, the minimum monthly wage rises from EUR 312 to EUR 332.

The document will be discussed on October 20 by the National Social Security Institute.
