National Assembly President Tsveta Karayancheva has invited European observers to monitor all stages of Bulgaria's parliamentary elections in 2021. Invitations have been sent to the European Commission, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and the Group of States against Corruption - GRECO.

Karayancheva motivated her decision with the frequent speculations about the fairness of the election process. That is why Karayancheva expects observation missions to bring additional guarantees to Bulgarian citizens for the honesty of the election results.
