Bulgaria tightens anti-epidemic measures

Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov has issued a new order to introduce measures against the spread of the coronavirus.

From October 29 to November 12, the attendance classes for high school students and university students are suspended. Group extracurricular activities and activities in a face-to-face environment are also discontinued. Classes in the centers for personal development are also suspended. Congress and conference events, seminars, exhibitions, as well as theatrical performances, concerts, etc. can take place with up to 30% occupancy. Sports events are held without spectators, except for the international tennis tournament Sofia Open 2020, where the audience must be accommodated with distance of two seats between visitors. Visits to nightclubs, discos and indoor restaurants are suspended. Indoor restaurants must provide a distance of 1.5 m. between people Excursions and group visits to tourist sites are suspended. Rules for distance and one-way movement are introduced in marketplaces.

In connection with the new restrictions, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova proposed to increase the teams of the police and the Sofia Municipality that check for compliance with the measures.
