Burgas places second in Transformative Cities ranking

Bulgaria’s coastal city of Burgas placed second in the current ranking of Transformative Cities initiative. Voting will continue until November 16. You can cast your vote at: https://transformativecities.org/2020award/.

 Transformative cities aims to popularize good examples in the implementation of solutions related to economic, social, political and environmental challenges. Burgas is competing in Energy category. In recent years, Burgas has become an energy efficient city implementing the most up-to-date approaches and measures. The local authorities have implemented measures aimed at renovating residential buildings and putting energy saving street lighting installations in operation. Burgas has made the first steps to promote the use of electric vehicles that can be charged for free. The coastal city is to receive 56 new electric buses.
