Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva is on first official visit to Israel

Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva is on her first official visit to Israel, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced.

In Jerusalem, Zaharieva will have talks with her Israeli counterpart Gabi Ashkenazi. They will discuss the development of bilateral relations in the context of the 30th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations. They will discuss deepening bilateral co-operation in areas such as security, energy, tourism, trade and high technology. The two diplomats will also discuss challenges from the coronavirus and the situation in the Middle East. 
Zaharieva isalso scheduled to meet with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
