For 7 years number of foreign students in Bulgaria has doubled

The number of students in the country has decreased by 18% compared to 2013, according to the 10th edition of the university rating system. In 16 areas such as economics, administration and management, the decline is over 40%. The largest increase is seen in the fields of medicine - 108%, military affairs - 59%, dentistry - 52%, pedagogy - 42%, national security - 38%, health care - 37%.

The share of foreign students increases from 4% to 8%. Most foreign students study medicine - 56%, dentistry - 42%. In three more professional fields, foreign students exceed 10%: pharmacy - 13%, transport, shipping and aviation - 13% and music and dance - 11%.
