The winners of this year’s Sofia Marathon Viktoriia Khapilina, Ukraine and Youssef Sbaa, Morocco have been provisionally suspended from all racing for doping violations, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) reports.
“The news is a clear message to all who intend to compete by deception and dishonest means. Together with our partners, sponsors and the city authorities, we remain committed to fair play and doping-free sports.
