The political parties GERB, BSP for Bulgaria, United Patriots and Volya supported the government's position on the negotiations for the accession of the Republic of North Macedonia to the European Union, BTA reported. The MPs from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS)  did not participate in the discussions.

On behalf of GERB, Plamen Manushev said that "there is no Bulgarian who does not want the Republic of North Macedonia to be a member of the EU. So I hope we can find a solution."
"The Bulgarian Socialist Party believes that the decision to postpone the start of negotiations is the right one," said Deputy Parliament Speaker Christian Vigenin from BSP. He pointed out that the decision was a problem for both sides. The Bulgarian Socialist Party demanded that a review should be made of the negotiations until now and if necessary, the negotiating team should be reconsidered.
