The director of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Nayden Todorov, will lead the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra in a concert which can be watched online on the orchestra's website, starting at 7 pm on November 19, BTA reports. The soloist is the virtuoso violinist Midori.

The program includes Mendelssohn's The Hebrides and Violin Concerto, as well as Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony for String Orchestra.
The history of the Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra begins with the Borusan Chamber Orchestra, one of the first ventures in the field of culture and arts, created and sponsored by a leading industrial conglomerate in Turkey. Over time, the chamber orchestra transformed into one of the best symphony ensembles in the country under the direction of its honorary conductor Gürer Aykal.
