Bulgaria expects the EU to show unity against the pandemic

Before the video conference of the EU leaders, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov spoke on the phone with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, BTA reported.

He thanked the German Presidency for reaching an agreement with the European Parliament on the next Multiannual Financial Framework and the Recovery Package. Borissov expressed hope that the financial framework would be approved as soon as possible by the Council of the EU, so that the countries could use these instruments and financial resources in a timely and full manner in the fight against the virus and its consequences. 
The Bulgarian Prime Minister has stated that now is the time to show our citizens that we can unite and act together.
