There is a reduction in reservations, but the expectations are for more bookings from Bulgarian and foreign tourists at the last minute. This became clear after a meeting of Bulgaria's Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova with the tourist sector representatives in Bulgaria's spa resort Velingrad.

We are working at a high diplomatic level not to close the borders between the Balkan countries, which are the main markets for the winter season, BTA reported.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety is a leading requirement for the winter season 2020/2021. Bulgaria must keep the green stamp issued by the World Travel and Tourism Council. It guarantees that it is a safe destination and strictly observes all anti-epidemic measures, Nikolova stressed.
