The Center for the Study of Democracy has presented a study of public attitudes towards democracy in 2020. Bulgaria is among the countries in Central and Eastern Europe, which is alarmingly closer to authoritarianism, the center's head, Ruslan Stefanov, has told BNR.
Supporters of liberal democracy and market economy are in the age groups of 18-25 and 35-45. In all other groups, the desire for a strong hand prevails.
